Picture a scene when you enter a friend’s flat. The is bare except for a used plate, and the dining chairs scattered around aimlessly. A piece of clothing lying on the dirty looking rug, and a bare look accentuated by a couple of poorly polished cane chairs. A centre table that looks like it came straight from a garage sale. What comes to mind? A bachelor’s pad, no doubt, and one who is not too concerned about the way he lives. If this is the way he keeps the furniture in his home, this is probably how he will treat all who come in contact with him- a casual, laid back attitude that whatever is, goes. Neatness is the last thing I’m bothered about. Let me live my life- others don’t really matter.
Most of these tables have matching chairs. You don’t have to buy the chairs, though. Some people like using a mix of their old chairs around a patio table. This style is actually getting more popular today with the advent of shabby chic designs, where people incorporate new furniture with old refurbished ones.
One of the reasons that more people are turning to patio awnings is the fact that it’s almost like adding another room to the house. The patio can be an attractive part of your house anyway, but with awnings added it can be turned into a huge outdoor room. With tasteful decorations, you get the feeling that your home has been extended out onto the patio, which gives you more options for entertaining.
