The first patio furniture I purchased came with an octagon table and 4 chairs. Within a very short time, I realized that I couldn’t seat enough people for my needs. I could use two other chairs that I purchased with the set, but how could I get them around this table? I ended up making a round top to go over the octagon table top that would give me the expansion I needed. Now, I have to use a table cloth to make the round top work. While this solution has worked out OK, but, I should have thought through this further.
Custom-Built Patio Covers Custom-built patio covers are available in the market in many designs. And you can choose the appropriate one that protects your furniture and adds to aesthetics of your patio. Manufacturers specialized in making covers for the patio realize that keeping your furniture protected with these covers to prolong its life is as important as making it look attractive and comfortable. A well protected patio cover helps create the right outdoor ambiance for entertaining your family and friends. It is also an excellent way to protect yourself from direct sunlight, rain and insects, and enjoy the outdoors from the comforts of your home.
One of the first causes of action is to determine the material that has constructed the patio. Most common materials will include wrought iron, heavy duty plastic material aluminum, wood and the like. Even while thinking of some of these materials like wood, you will have to consider the fact that wood is not just wood, there are categories of these wood materials like cedar, oak, pine and the like. Wrought iron, to begin with can rust if not taken care of well enough. Most of the wrought iron is originally manufactured to resist rust, but it can be a good idea to treat the wrought iron before placing it in the store house during winter. Galvanization or powder coating is done in the manufacture stage, but just in case it is noticed that there is a sign of rust appearing on the iron, one should take some boiled linseed oil and treat the rust before storing the patio furniture away for the season.
